What if I don’t complete the information verification completely or accurately?
Errors, omissions, or missing course attestations and evaluations may delay certificate and SST Card issuance or prevent ClickSafety and/or NYC DOB from issuing an SST card.
How do I receive my certificate of completion?

Your certificates of completion will be issued once you submit your attestation, complete information verification, and finish the course, including the final evaluation. Our SST Team will complete the information verification before releasing the certificates.

Certificates can be accessed in your Learning History.

I am an administrator. How can I see the SST Certificate status for my employee?
View our administrator guide to learn how to access your employees’ certificates.
Who needs an SST card?

All workers and supervisors on construction sites that are subject to a Site Safety Plan are required to carry a valid NYC SST card, including individuals performing:

  • Construction or demolition work

  • Site supervision or oversight

Roles include:

  • Construction workers and laborers

  • Forepersons and supervisors

  • Site safety managers

Can I upgrade from a Worker card to a Supervisor card?

Yes, if your current SST card and OSHA 30 certification are both valid and have been obtained within the past five years, you are eligible to upgrade your SST card to a Supervisor card before your current card expires.

Do I have to complete all SST training with ClickSafety to receive my SST card?

No, it is not necessary to complete all SST training through ClickSafety. You may take your training with any authorized provider listed on the NYC DOB Training Connect course provider page.

Please note that if you submit certificates from multiple providers, processing your SST card may take longer. This is because each certificate must be individually verified by the issuing provider.

I lost my SST card. How can I obtain a replacement?

If your SST card has not expired, you are eligible to request a replacement. Replacement cards can be obtained through any authorized provider listed on the NYC DOB Training Connect provider page.

Please be aware that most providers may charge a processing fee for replacement card requests.

My SST card has expired. Can I renew it?
No. SST cards are valid for five years from the date of issuance and expire thereafter. To maintain an active card, refresher courses must be completed within 12 months prior to the card’s expiration date. If your card has already expired, you are required to complete all the necessary training courses again to obtain a new SST card.
